The PHD System Warranty

The Benefits of the PHD System:

The PHD System liner is used to isolate the home from the earth completely and permanently. The liner is a heavy, thick material similar to a pool liner. It is manufactured in several layers – a blend of high-density polyethylene, low-density polyethylene and polyester cord reinforcement. It is black on one side and white on the other. The bright white finished side will brighten a crawlspace with the available lighting and allows you to easily see that your crawlspace is free of an unhealthy environment.

The PHD System controls moisture and humidity that is emitted by a dirt crawlspace. The System helps to create a healthier environment in the crawlspace that in turn improves the environment inside the living space of the home. The System will reduce humidity levels inside the home resulting in improved indoor air quality and the reduction in swelling of wood flooring, molding and doors.

The PHD System with a dehumidifier will maintain humidity in the crawlspace below 60%. This will help control mold, mildew and bacteria growth in the crawlspace. This will provide a profound benefit to the homeowners since up to 50% of the air in the home enters through the crawlspace. The System isolates your home from allergens and contaminants emitting from your dirt crawlspace floor.

The PHD System will lower your overall energy bill. This is because the system seals openings and cracks and other air leaks that allow unconditioned outside air to enter your home. The System creates a semi-conditioned space with a more constant temperature and humidity level. Average energy bill reductions are between 15 – 35% and will vary based on the size of the house, the energy rating of the HVAC equipment and the quality of the ductwork in areas other than the crawlspace.

The PHD System will lower humidity levels in a crawlspace, drastically reducing or eliminating the need to replace or repair floor joists and other wood products, hot water heaters, HVAC systems, floor insulation and any other components exposed to the negative conditions in a crawlspace.

Warranty Information

The PHD System comes with a 25-year manufacturers warranty against tears and punctures. Pure House Dynamics guarantees a reduction of humidity to below 60% and a reduction of moisture content in the wood substructure to below 16% in the crawlspace. Exclusions to the warranty include neglect or self-inflicted damage to the liner and burst plumbing pipes or other plumbing failures. All dehumidifiers carry a 5 year manufacturers parts and service warranty and have an expected life span of at least 10 years. Separate warranties can be purchased for equipment or it can be replaced at a nominal charge upon failure.

Acts of God, lightning, floods and natural disasters are not covered under this warranty. You understand that any existing water incursion that you are experiencing has likely created some mold and mildew in your home, either in the crawlspace area, sub-floors, in interior walls, in the HVAC system and other places. Should any healthcare issues relating to mold, mildew or moisture already exist or develop with anyone living in or visiting this home you will not hold Pure House Dynamics, Inc., its owners or insurance companies liable for any damages or claims.

PureHealth Dynamics, Inc. will identify the presence of mold if present in your home. If you choose to take no action at this time PHD will ask you to acknowledge this in writing. You understand completely that installing a PHD System is not in lieu of proper mold remediation. PHD will cause mold to go dormant but it will still be visibly present and will return with the reintroduction of moisture for whatever reason. PHD has identified mold in the following locations.

I fully understand this warranty, which is issued upon the completion of every job, and accept the warranty. This warranty is transferable to subsequent homeowners of this home for the duration of the warranty. There will be no service charge to repair leaks that are found in the system that are covered under warranty. Service calls which are not leaks in the system, or to repair leaks from damage or abuse, will be charged at a minimum of $90 for the first hour. Additional hours will be charged at $65 per hour.
